Digital product engineering
Prototype to production
Turn a promising prototype into a product people can rely on.
Prototypes are built to prove an idea, not to carry real users. We take what you have, keep what works, and harden the rest: architecture, security, tests, monitoring, and a release process, so launch day is calm rather than a gamble.
01Is this you?
When teams come to us for this
- Your prototype works in a demo but breaks with real users or real data.
- It was built fast, by a freelancer or with AI tools, and nobody wants to touch it now.
- Customers or investors are waiting on a launch date.
- You need security, monitoring, and a way to release safely before going live.
02What you get
What the work includes
Codebase assessment
What to keep, what to rebuild, and what is risky, in plain English with a ranked plan.
Production architecture
Authentication, data, APIs, and infrastructure set up to carry real load.
Tests and CI
Automated tests on the paths that matter and a pipeline that runs them on every change.
Monitoring and alerts
Logs, metrics, and alerts so problems are found before customers report them.
A staged launch
Release to a few users first, watch, then widen, with a clear way back.
Handover
Documentation and walkthroughs so your team can own the product after launch.
03How it works
How an engagement runs
- 01
Assess
Read the code, run it, and map the gaps between the prototype and production.
- 02
Stabilise
Fix what breaks first: data integrity, authentication, and the core user journey.
- 03
Harden
Add tests, monitoring, security controls, and a repeatable release process.
- 04
Launch
Roll out in stages, watch the numbers, and hand over or keep running it together.
04Questions
Common questions
Do you rebuild from scratch?
Rarely. We keep what works and replace only the parts that will not hold up, so you do not pay twice for the same features.
Our prototype was built with AI tools. Can you work with that?
Yes. AI-generated code is common now. We review it like any other code and fix what is unsafe or fragile.
Can our own engineers work alongside you?
Yes, and we recommend it. They learn the system as it is hardened, which makes the handover easier.
